So a few months ago, you might recall that I found this lovely little antique oval mirror tray from Goodwill for just $1.99! Since I purchased it, it’s sat in my home office, unused. However, while doing some productive Pinterest research a couple of weeks ago, I came across this little lovely from Urban Outfitters:
Instantly I realized what I wanted to do with the tray – and yes, it involved spray paint! I purchased Rustoleum white lacquer spray paint since I was going for a high gloss look.
And just a few coats later, this is now what I have…
Pretty and functional, what do you think? Not bad for a $1.99 Goodwill score!

I love all your upcycling projects! Very creative and well done. Plus you are giving me ideas 🙂 I also enjoy the fact that in addition to being adorable, this tray is also functional and serves a purpose. That is the key for me that will separate knick-knacks from the cream.

You took something nice and turned it into something very upmarket! The coat of paint makes the tray look so much more substantial.

So cute and this gives me lots of ideas! Also, what is that attachment that you have on the spray paint??? I need that.
Kimberly says
Thanks Glamour Soldier! You can find that attachment at any home improvement store in the spray paint section! It saves you from the “finger cramps” caused by spray painting for sure!
