Hi friends! Do you have little ones at home like I do? If so, I have a FUN interactive learning product to share with you today: the Cypher Kids Club Reality Cards by Cypher Entertainment! Cypher Kids introduces kids to the world of augmented reality – through 3D Learning Cards! There are three different interactive cards products currently on the market: Letters, Numbers and Animals! Since both of my kids, at ages 2 and 3, are learning their alphabet we thought that the Letters program was perfect for us! First, we ordered our Letters cards from Cypher through the Apple Store.
Once we received the cards in the mail, we promptly downloaded the Cypher Kids Club – Letters app for FREE from the iTunes app store. We chose to download and install the app onto our iPad, since that is what our kids use the most, but the Cypher Kids Club apps are available for download on the iPhone as well!
Then once we launched the app, we were ready for some learning fun! From the main menu you choose the card that you want to interact with.
The boys have found so many of the letters to be fun, but what boy wouldn’t choose “D” for Dinosaur first? Once you’ve picked the corresponding paper card and found it on the app, you’ll flip the card over so that the 3D marker is showing.
Then you hold your iPad over the card so that the camera can read the 3D marker and voila! The interaction begins. Digi and Beebot, the two robotic hosts of Cypher Kids take you through the pronunciation of the letter, including what begins and ends with that letter. In this case, with the letter “D” for Dinosaur, the kids loved seeing the dinosaur roam about on the iPad.
Our kids had so much fun with the cards. And while our youngest, at 2, needed help navigating the cards and instructions, we were able to teach our 3 year old how to manage it on his own (it is recommended for ages 3 and up). He had fun picking out which letters he wanted to learn about next.
Still want to see more? We put together a short video here of how we interacted with the cards:
We’re really excited to have this great program in our home. Our kids are always wanting to play on the iPad, but we’re always careful that it is something both fun and educational for them. We’re already looking at adding to our collection! These cards would also make great quality educational gifts this holiday season – that any kid would want. So be sure to check out Cypher Kids today, you can find them online here…
