I just LOVE DecoArt products, you can add pizzazz to any of your projects, like this Baker’s Gift Basket I shared with you recently. Their paints and craft products are also a great way to update plain ornaments to make them pop or to add special sentiment. And today I’m sharing with you the DecoArt products and steps I used to make this adorable DIY Snow Capped Ornament!
What you’ll need:
- DecoArt Snow Writer
- DecoArt Glistening Snow-Tex
- Clear glass or plastic bulb
- Baker’s Twine
And the steps:
- First I drew a “snow-melt” line on the bulb with the DecoArt Snow Writer. This gives a clean line for the “snow” to end on the bulb.
- Once the Snow Writer line was dry, I then filled in the upper portion of the bulb with DecoArt Glistening Snow-Tex. This stuff is FUN! I layered it on thick, and while the first steps are fairly quick, you’re going to want to let the Snow-Tex dry for 24 hours before handling.
- Once the Snow-Tex was dry, I simply tied some baker’s twine to the top and hung on the tree!
And here’s how it turned out!
