DecoArt Snow-Capped Ornament

Make a fun and easy Snow-Capped ornament this year with DecoArt Snow Tex!

Hi friends! Thanks for joining us on our next installment of the Trim Your Tree series, and today is sponsored by our good friends over at DecoArt! DecoArt is currently celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun! And we’re celebrating right along with them by creating our own ornament, this DecoArt Snow-Capped Ornament!

DecoArt 12 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun!

I just LOVE DecoArt products, you can add pizzazz to any of your projects, like this Baker’s Gift Basket I shared with you recently. Their paints and craft products are also a great way to update plain ornaments to make them pop or to add special sentiment. And today I’m sharing with you the DecoArt products and steps I used to make this adorable DIY Snow Capped Ornament!

What you’ll need:

And the steps:

  • First I drew a “snow-melt” line on the bulb with the DecoArt Snow Writer. This gives a clean line for the “snow” to end on the bulb.
  • Once the Snow Writer line was dry, I then filled in the upper portion of the bulb with DecoArt Glistening Snow-Tex. This stuff is FUN! I layered it on thick, and while the first steps are fairly quick, you’re going to want to let the Snow-Tex dry for 24 hours before handling.
  • Once the Snow-Tex was dry, I simply tied some baker’s twine to the top and hung on the tree!

Oh my gosh those ornaments are too cute. How have I never seen that site before? Anyway, I like the Day 3: Family Photo Ornament best. Can’t wait to try it out with my kiddos.

I love this it reminds me of the ornaments my mom used on her tree. I would love to win as I lost so much in hurricane sandy. It would help to replace some lost things. Whoever wins I wish a happy holiday season to. Bless all
