{Technology Tuesday} The Best Photoshop Elements Tutorials, Tips + Actions

The Best Photoshop Elements Tutorials, Tips and Actions! | #photoshop #elements #PSE #photography

Hi friends! Time for another installment of Technology Tuesday! Let’s talk Photoshop Elements. Believe it or not, I’ve used full-fledged Photoshop before. I got a free-to-me version from a friend years ago and plopped it on my MacBook. And there it stayed. Sure, I’d dabble here and there but honestly I found it soooo intimidating. So after discovering tools like PicMonkey, I just stuck with that.

But on my blog “to-do” list this year is to learn Photoshop Elements. I’ve crossed the few items off my list, including migrating my RSS newsletter from Feedburner to MadMimi (have you subscribed?), it’s probably time for me to take the plunge. So I’ve started “shopping around” for some of the best tutorials to bookmark and pin to get things started – so I thought I’d share those with you too! Here’s what I’ve found so far…

I’m sure I’ll keep adding to the list as I go! Do you have a great Photoshop Elements tip, trick or tutorial? Or one that you found super helpful? Share it with us in the comments! I can take all the advice I can get at this point! Before I go, I just wanted to mention a fabulous group board I just joined with the amazing gals from Uncommon Designs, Finding Home and more! 1. I use Photoshop CS5 and have been thinking about doing some tutorials – you inspired me to start! Pugley Pixel always has good tutorials and freebies!!

  2. I LOVE PSE! I use it daily and just think it is the most flexible program around. You are definitely right… It has a steep learning curve but I know you will love it too! My absolute favorite resource is Amanda at Everyday Elements (http://www.everydayelementsonline.com) Her site is based almost totally on PSE and she has great tutorials from beginner to advanced.

  3. I just bought PSE for my daughter for her birthday with the intention of using it for blog purposes as well. Thanks for sharing what you’ve found so far. I haven’t had time to play around with it, but I’m putting this on my photoshop pinterest board.

  4. I’m working exclusively in PSE right now (though I can’t wait to be able to upgrade to Photoshop)! Most of the tutorials I have assume you have a basic knowledge of PSE (such as where the fill bucket, pointer/move, and new layer buttons are though I do use a lot of pictures!) and you can find most of them in my “Template Tuesday” series here: (http://beetreestudios.com/?cat=7)…

By far the most popular one that I’ve created deals with blending photos into the background (or another layer) and you can find that one here: (http://beetreestudios.com/?p=403). I create a lot of Project Life/pocket page type layouts so this one about making the photo/card spaces a custom size is one of my favorites (http://beetreestudios.com/?p=482)!

Hope that helps you or anyone else who’s interested! I’m going to check out the links you left because I’m always looking for more things to learn =)
