Hi friends! We’re continuing on with our Trim Your Tree series today with these Candy Filled Ornaments by Uncommon Designs. I just love these gals, be sure you head over and say hello! If you don’t follow them already, I guarantee you’ll love what you see!
Hey y’all! We are Bonnie and Trish from Uncommon Designs and we are super excited to share our candy filled ornaments with you today! Time is just flying by and we are going to blink and it will be Christmas!
Christmas is our absolute favorite time of year for crafts, food, and all sorts of fun! We are so grateful that Kimberly has invited us to share our tree trimming idea. This year we are all about keeping things simple for the holidays and this ornament is exactly just that. With Thanksgiving coming so late, I know that we can use all of the time saving projects that we can get, right?
These plastic Christmas lightbulb ornaments were picked up at Walmart. Simply bring them home and wash them out with warm soapy water. Once they are dry, you are ready to fill them up with your favorite treat. Take off the cap and begin filling. We are a little partial to the Mint M&M’s at our house, so that was our candy of choice. You can use anything from red hots, sprinkles, runts, nerds… you name it!
Once you have finished filling, put the top back on and add a pretty bow. I also tied some jute twine round the holder for hanging. It can’t get any easier than this!!
You can hang them on your tree or give them away as small gifts. These make perfect classroom treats, as well.
We’d love for you to come over to Uncommon Designs for a visit. You will see all of the fun holiday projects that we have been working on like this tree-topped advent calendar.
We also just shared a sweet Dear Santa holiday printable for you to print off and share with the kids.
Thanks so much for allowing us to spread a little Christmas cheer on A Night Owl today!
Happy Holidays!

Looks great! Hope I stumble on the plastic ornaments.

Super cute idea!! How to do you keep from eating all the m&m’s before you stuff them in the ornaments? M&M’s and me have a special relationship…..I eat them every chance I get…especially the peanut butter and mint ones.

I love Uncommon Designs and I love this idea. It would be so cute to write a name ornament and use it is the tag for a Christmas gift! Dangerous in my house with a 4 yr old… But so cute! Worth the risk?
