Coca-Cola Big Game Ad and Giveaway!

Hi friends! It’s almost time for the Big Game! And as we’re gearing up for Sunday and the introduction of amazing ads and commercials – we think there’s one in particular that you should pay attention to. On game day, Coca-Cola will tell the story of a small but determined high school football player who earns the confidence of his team when he gets the game-time opportunity of a lifetime.

One of two 60-second Big Game ads from Coca-Cola, “Going All The Way” is an all-American tale of triumph over adversity. The main character, Adrian, struggles to fit in and make his mark until the opposing team fumbles the ball and it lands in his arms. That’s when it’s Adrian’s time to shine. With support from his team and the crowd in the stands, using sheer grit and determination, he breaks through, perseveres and achieves unlikely greatness.

The commercial traces Adrian’s unlikely journey from benchwarmer to star of the game. After scoring a touchdown, then running through the streets of Ashwaubenon, his dreams are realized when he runs the length of Lambeau Field (home of the Green Bay Packers), performs a touchdown dance and attempts his own Lambeau Leap in front of a nearly empty stadium. He celebrates a moment of happiness and accomplishment when a groundskeeper hands him an ice-cold Coca-Cola. Let’s take a look!

You can catch the behind the scenes story here. This ad is so much more than just football, it’s about supporting today’s youth. For 127 years, Coca-Cola has been bringing people together to support communities and organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). Today, more than 4,000 Clubs serve some four million young people annually through Club membership and community outreach.

My favorite part of the commercial is that it ends up at Green Bay’s field. (I’m originally from Wisconsin). :)

I love how it reminds me of watching my brothers playing pee wee football when we were kids. We all took it so seriously!

  3. Terri Hughes says

He was the smallest player on the field and he gets the chance to run with the ball to the very end(wrong field)then he gets a coke from the grounds keeper…what a day!

I love when he runs back the fumbled ball, that it’s filmed in Green Bay (Packer fan), and when he’s handed the Coca-Cola! Reminds me of the ad with Mean Joe Greene!

As the coach or ref watches as the player heads toward the goal line, I expected him to do a happy dance all his own. He didn’t dance – he kept on running. Ahhhh, running home. No, not home. Oh, he probably ran around a block and is heading back to the game. Wrong again. Adrian #39 cut left, cut right and ran right into Lambeau Field for THE PERFECT PLAY of the DAY! Enjoy a Coke. You deserve it! :)

I love when he runs past the ref and just keeps running. You know he has a “goal” in mind but it is awesome when you see what goal it is.

  10. Dorothy Teel says

I like the commercial it reminded me of the Mean Joe Green commercial where the kid gives him the Coke, and in this one the little boy who doesn’t get to play much runs all the way to Green Bay stadium and the guy running the lawn mower give him the Coke, I love coke commercials, as the offer hope plus it was cute that he first went on field in his red hat instead of helmet.
